Working in our thrift stores does more than build a resume. It builds a sense of purpose and personal pride. By learning and completing retail task, individuals develop the self-confidence and self-advocacy skills needed to transition from employment path to community employment. 

Job Club - Peer Motivation

Our Job Club transforms shared experiences into powerful career motivation. This peer-to-peer inspiration makes the abstract concept of employment incredibly tangible, fueling a collective drive among member to dedicate themselves to the skill-building necessary to land their own community jobs.

Donations 

Donations support the infrastructure of specialized, supportive training environment. This is where individuals learn workplace expectations, such as punctuality, following safety protocols, team communication, and taking direction from supervisors. 

Job Club - The Why

Our weekly Job Club is centered on personal autonomy and discovering the fundamental "why" behind employment. It provides a dedicated forum where individuals take the lead in defining their own career aspirations while celebrating the real-world wins of their employed peers. By listening to coworkers discuss what makes their community jobs fulfilling, members gain a deeper understanding of how the skills they are building today directly unlock the doors to financial independence and personal pride tomorrow. 

Social Inclusion

The public-facing nature of our thrift stores provides an invaluable arena for social inclusion. Through daily, real-world interactions with donors and shoppers, individuals hone their customer service, active communication, and collaborative teamwork skills.
